Privacy Policy

Effective date: 14-Sep-2026

Please read this document carefully. It explains your rights and responsibilities on FRNSup.

1. Introduction

Welcome to FRNSup. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the FRNSup website (frnsup.com), mobile app, and related services (together, the “platform”). FRNSup is a campus-to-career network for verified students in India: curated jobs, a student community, career profiles, and — for partnered colleges — campus academic tools. By using FRNSup, you consent to the practices described here. This policy should be read with our Terms of Use, User Agreement, and Cookie Policy.

2. Scope of the Current Release

This policy describes the product as shipped in the current website and mobile release. Live features include account registration and login, career profiles, community questions and campus posts, curated job discovery and application tracking, notifications, search, settings, help, and legal documents. We do not currently offer in-app chat/messaging, ranking or rewards, referrals or invite campaigns, staff feeds, FrnsupLearn courses, or third-party advertisements. Features we disable in a given release are not used to collect extra personal data for those products. If we later turn a feature on, we will update this policy where the change is material.

3. Information We Collect

Account and identity: name, email address, password (stored hashed by our servers), college, course/department details you provide, username, and account type. We currently accept registration from selected email providers (including Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, Hotmail, and @frnsup.com). We may send a one-time verification code or link to confirm your email. Profile and career data: profile photo, short bio, professional about text, education, skills, languages, experience, resume or CV file, optional GitHub or LeetCode links, and mobile number (including WhatsApp verification when you choose it). Student verification: for partnered-college flows we may collect a student ID photo or similar document from your photo library so we can verify you are a student. Community content: questions, answers, posts, comments, likes, reposts, mentions, follows, and buddy (friend) requests you send or receive. Job activity: jobs you view, save, or apply to on FRNSup, and application status we store so you can use My Applications. We do not collect precise GPS location from the mobile app in the current release (location collection is switched off). We may still collect coarse device metadata such as platform (iOS/Android or browser), OS or browser version, app or site version, device model, language, IP address on the web, and network type to keep accounts secure and diagnose issues. We do not display third-party ads and we do not sell your personal information.

4. College and Campus Records (Partnered Colleges)

If your college is partnered with FRNSup, we may display academic tools such as ID card, hall ticket, results, fee receipts, attendance, and timetable. Those records are provided by or on behalf of your institution. We process them so you can view them in FRNSup. Non-partnered students do not receive the full campus-tools set in this release. Staff-only upload tools (for example uploading attendance or fees) are not enabled in the current student-facing release.

5. Curated Job Listings and Third-Party Job Data

FRNSup may collect, store, and display job listing information from third-party and public sources to offer curated campus-to-career opportunities. This includes job titles, descriptions, locations, compensation ranges (when available), skills, company names, logos, application links, and related metadata obtained from employer career pages and applicant tracking platforms (including Greenhouse and similar services). This information is generally sourced from publicly available employer postings, not from your personal accounts on those platforms. When you apply, we may record that you initiated an application on FRNSup and redirect you to an external employer or Greenhouse-hosted page. Personal information you submit on those external sites is collected by the employer or platform operator under their privacy policy, not ours. Completing a career profile (including resume and required fields) may be required before you can apply.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to create and secure your account; operate community, profile, jobs, notifications, and campus tools; verify student identity where required; send transactional email (verification, password reset, important account notices); send push or in-product notifications you enable (for example likes, comments, buddy requests, and job-related alerts); provide customer support; prevent spam, abuse, and fraud; and understand how the product is used so we can improve reliability and quality. We do not use your data to show third-party advertising. We may send product updates with a lawful basis or your consent where required.

7. Push Notifications

If you allow notifications on the mobile app, we store a device push token (Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver alerts. You can turn push off in Account Settings or in your device settings. You can also choose categories such as likes, comments, buddy requests, followers, and post types. Uninstalling the app or deleting your account invalidates push tokens we hold for that account on that device.

8. Analytics, Diagnostics, and App Tracking

We use analytics and error-reporting tools to understand feature usage and to fix crashes. Depending on configuration, this may include Mixpanel, Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics, and Rollbar. These services may process device or cookie identifiers, events (such as screen or page views and button actions), and limited account identifiers after you sign in so we can debug issues that affect you. On iOS we may show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt; our app’s privacy manifest currently declares that we do not engage in “tracking” as Apple defines that term for cross-app advertising. You can change related permissions in iOS Settings. We do not use these tools to sell your data or to run third-party ads in FRNSup.

9. How We Share Your Information

We share information with service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, email delivery, analytics, crash reporting, push delivery, and support). We may share information with your college when you use partnered campus tools, as needed to display academic records. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the platform. Other users can see profile and community content you choose to make public or share with college, buddies, or followers according to the visibility you select. We do not sell personal information. FRNSup does not display third-party advertisements.

10. Security of Your Information

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport, hashed passwords, and session invalidation on logout or account deletion. No system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong unique password and keep your device secure.

11. Your Data Rights

You may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate data, deletion under applicable law, and restriction of certain processing. On the FRNSup website or mobile app you can delete your account under Account Settings → Delete account. We ask you to confirm with your current password. After deletion, we anonymize personal information on your account, invalidate sessions and push tokens, and you will no longer be able to sign in. Posts and comments you made may remain visible with the author shown as “Deleted User.” Job applications may be retained for employer or legal compliance with applicant personal details removed or minimized. If you cannot access the product, email support@frnsup.com from your registered address with the subject line "Account deletion request".

12. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

On the web we use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. In the mobile app we use comparable technologies: authentication tokens and preferences in on-device storage (including AsyncStorage or equivalent secure storage), analytics and crash-reporting identifiers, and push tokens. See the Cookie Policy for details and controls.

13. Third-Party Links

FRNSup may contain links to third-party websites or services, including employer career sites and application portals (such as Greenhouse-hosted pages). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before you submit information.

14. Children's Privacy

FRNSup is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it. If you are under 18, you should use FRNSup only with a parent or guardian’s permission as described in the User Agreement.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this document will change when we do. We will notify you of significant changes through the product or email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
