1. What This Policy Covers
This Cookie Policy explains how FRNSup uses cookies on the website and similar technologies in the FRNSup mobile app (local storage, authentication tokens, analytics identifiers, and push tokens). It should be read with our Privacy Policy. The current product does not show third-party advertisements and we do not sell personal information.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how pages are used. Cookies do not install malware. Similar technologies in the mobile app store small pieces of data on your device for the same kinds of purposes.
3. Types We Use on the Web
Essential cookies: required for login sessions, security, and core navigation; these cannot be turned off if you want to use the logged-in site. Preference cookies: remember settings you choose. Analytics cookies: help us understand traffic and improve the product (for example Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics where enabled). We do not use advertising cookies to run third-party ads in FRNSup.
4. Technologies in the Mobile App
The iOS and Android apps do not rely on browser cookies for core use. They use: (a) authentication and session tokens stored on-device so you stay signed in; (b) app preferences such as notification toggles and onboarding flags (including AsyncStorage or equivalent); (c) a device push token if you allow notifications; (d) analytics and crash-reporting identifiers from providers such as Mixpanel, Firebase Analytics, and Rollbar, used to measure product usage and fix errors; (e) Expo or store update metadata as needed to keep the app current. Precise GPS is not collected in the current release. On iOS, Apple’s tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) may be shown; our privacy manifest currently states we do not use data for cross-app advertising tracking.
5. How We Use These Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep accounts signed in securely, remember preferences, deliver push notifications you enable, analyze feature usage, diagnose crashes, and prevent abuse. We do not use them to personalize third-party ads inside FRNSup.
6. Third-Party Technologies
Analytics and diagnostics providers process event data under their own terms as our processors or independent controllers, depending on the tool. When you leave FRNSup to apply for a job (including Greenhouse-hosted or employer career pages), those sites may set their own cookies or identifiers under their policies. Social sharing on other apps is controlled by those apps, not by FRNSup.
7. Your Choices
Web: manage cookies in your browser; blocking essential cookies may break sign-in. Mobile: sign out to drop the session token; disable push in Account Settings or device Settings; limit analytics-related permissions where the OS allows (including iOS tracking permission). Uninstalling the app removes most on-device data we stored locally. Deleting your account (Account Settings → Delete account) invalidates server sessions and push tokens as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change. Significant updates may also be communicated in the product or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
